Why is space planning so important?
One of our clients was seriously considering moving offices because they needed more space to fit more workstations into. When we visited this client to discuss their project we quickly realised that by changing the shapes and sizes of the desks they were already using we might be able to increase the number of staff they could fit into their existing offices. After some though, we ended up doubling their staff numbers, thus our client could stay put and saved the costs of moving offices, considerably more than changing the desks!
Space planning is not just a case of fitting in furniture any-old-how.
